Thanks to the advent of high-speed compressors, protection against liquid shocks became vitally important. In the case of a very saturated working regime, the separator became an indispensable element.
This is not the only reason; indeed, this device is the center of recirculated liquid systems (working by force or gravity) that ensure the highest performance. Separators can be of vertical or horizontal position; they are supplied with all their control and safety valves, and also with automatic controls.
Separators are insulated with injected polyurethane or expanded polystyrene and covered with aluminum sheet, galvanized sheet, fiberglass or epoxy resin.
